A Hero Beyond The Comics!!

Posted by derek jefferson on

I am excited to bring you the news that HTDB Comics will be officially creating a bio-comic based on the legacy of a true HERO in history, John Carlos. If you aren't familiar with the name right off the bat, he was apart of the fight for social injustice, and this 1 picture speaks thousands of words about a great moment in history. This moment in time touched a lot of our hearts, and we are beyond honored to be on this project. He told me a story of a lady who asked him for a picture and asked him...

Daredevil Season 4???

Posted by derek jefferson on

Shoutout yo J-Skipper for letting me use his awesome artwork for this blog. Yes, you heard it right, they just pitched Daredevil season 4 to Netflix. After the success of previous season 4, they are excited to go for season  4. Which is beyond great because Daredevil is my favorite Marvel hero. So it goes without saying how excited I am to hear this news. Despite the recent cancellation of Iron Fist and Luke Cage, they pitched the next season of Daredevil to Netflix. Which leaves me wondering, they may not have any plans to relaunch the cancelled Marvel shows...

This Joker Movie Is A Risky Move!

Posted by derek jefferson on

Shoutout to J-Skipper for letting me use his Joker art. I think joker is one of the most iconic villains in the history of comic books. It goes without saying, Heath Ledger is everyone's favorite modern Joker (from Dark Knight-present). Jared Leto did ok, if anything he could have been Joker's cousin or half-brother. But from what I've seen of the trailers for the new Joker movie, it looks like a parody. His make-up is far from his original look. You know when you go off track from a comic book origin or a similar relevant plot then you have to make the movie great....

What I Think Of DC's Titans So Far

Posted by derek jefferson on

First off let me shout out J-Skipper for allowing me to use his art for my blog. Now I was just excited as everyone else when the announced the new Titans series. Well for one, it's the first real-life take on the Teen Titans. The second reason is that it looked more mature then we are used to seeing on the small screen. But I was instantly disappointed when I saw the actual series, I mean they did an excellent job with capturing Dick Greyson/Robin. I think giving him the role of a cop was risky being that people knew...

What Stan Lee Meant To The Culture (RIP 1922-2018)

Posted by derek jefferson on

Shoutout to the artist of these pictures that I'm using for this blog. Stan Lee was an icon, and he is responsible for Spiderman, X-Men, Daredevil, Iron Man, Black Panther, The Hulk, and many more Marvel characters. Stan Lee even had his own comic book series he created about people who worked in his office, I didn't get a chance to get into it to give you a better description of what it's about but my point is that Stan Lee was a legend that most of us grew up with. From Saturday morning cartoons to MCU movies that drop...
